Arcadis is the leading global design and consultancy organization for natural and built assets. We maximize impact for our clients and the communities they serve by providing design, engineering and consulting solutions that prioritize sustainable and equitable outcomes. We are 29,000 people, active in more than 70 countries that generate €3.4 billion in revenues, and work diligently to improve quality of life in rapidly growing cities around the world.
In New York and New Jersey, we work with municipal and private sector clients to improve physical, social and economic resilience. We recently finalized a strategy to combat the effects of storm surge, sea level rise and heavy rainfall events in Lower Manhattan, and continue to work with the city on it’s East Side Coastal Resiliency project. Our team also works with agencies throughout the city to improve infrastructure in the region. From addressing congestion challenges to improving mobility options, we leverage expertise in digital technology and urban planning to improve access and transit reliability. In New Jersey, we’re working in partnership with the Department of Environmental Protection and multiple communities as part of the Resilient New Jersey project (RNJ). RNJ aims to gather extensive and diverse public input, to shape a resilience strategy that protects the community’s true needs from flood events and storms. More information about our resilience work in New York and New Jersey, and beyond, can be found here.
