As an Oceanography PhD candidate, I study the oyster microbiome using molecular methods. I plan to pursue a science policy career after graduation (2022-2023 AY). Topics of strong interest to me include ecosystem services, science communication, and sustainable food production (check out my JSPG memo on oyster restoration and farming: https://www.sciencepolicyjournal.org/article_1038126_jspg180212.html).

- Co-president of SPAR (Science Policy Advocacy at Rutgers): https://sites.rutgers.edu/scipolru/
- serving as an NSPN Science Policy Scholar in Residence, working with the Hudson River Foundation to plan a workshop and action plan for restoring shallow water habitat in the NYC harbor.
- Graduate fellow of the Eagleton Institute of Politics (https://eagleton.rutgers.edu/) through which I will work in the Office of Legislative Services (OLS) in the NJ Legislature
